WASHINGTON, D.C. Oct. 4, 2018 – Winvale, a government contracts consulting firm, is proud to announce its client Afghanistan Holding Group (AHG) has been awarded a GSA Schedule Contract for Professional Services. AHG makes history as the first company based in Afghanistan to be awarded a GSA Schedule contract. Having this contract allows AHG to easily and efficiently offer their financial management, taxation, and audit services to Federal Government buyers in Afghanistan.

“We are very excited to have this GSA contract in place, as it will allow US government customers to be able to procure our services in Afghanistan at pre-negotiated discounted rates easily. AHG’s award could be an important step toward renewed stability in Afghanistan, a crucial goal for the U.S. military’s 16 year partnership with Afghanistan. Since 2009, AHG has been working to create a sustainable service economy in Afghanistan while being socially responsible. AHG employs more than 300 Afghans and utilizes another 800 more for short term support. “Afghanistan is an extremely challenging environment and U.S. Government officials are typically not allowed out of the U.S. Embassy or military installations,” said Kakar. “This makes meeting, vetting and negotiating with bidding firms very difficult, which has caused a litany of business challenges over the past 17 years.”

Winvale guided AHG through GSA’s eOffer requirements, working with Kakar and his team for more than two years to achieve the award. “We’re proud to be a part of another GSA Schedule milestone and help bring best in class professional services to the Federal Government in Afghanistan,” said Brian Dunn, Winvale’s Managing Partner. “AHG’s capabilities will be able to support the Federal Government in key areas and this GSA PSS contract will help shorten and simplify the acquisition process. AHG is listed under GSA’s Professional Services Schedule (PSS) under contract number 47QRAA18D00FG. The base contract term is valid through September 2023, with additional option years through September 2038. To further expedite government purchases, AHG’s professional services are available on GSA Advantage!, the Federal Government’s electronic ordering system. GSA Schedules orders are Competition in Contracting Act (CICA) compliant when Federal buyers use FAR Subpart 8.4 ordering procedures, and do not require posting on FedBizOpps.

AHG’s GSA Schedule award is a direct result of a complex process in which the General Services Administration evaluated their professional capabilities, organizational structure, performance history, financial statements, and customer references, while awarding rates that are “fair and reasonable.” As a result, GSA’s streamlined ordering procedures allow the Federal Government to purchase AHG’s services much faster than buying through open-market sources.
